Antique Car Show and Sunset Dinner

So after a nice walk in the Sonoran Desert, it's time to get back to the community.  Let's go check out a few cars from an antique car show being held at my sister's church.

Next we had dinner at my sister's golf club where David was being recognized for winning his flight in their recent tournament.  Beautiful sitting out on the patio while the sun was setting.  I do love the golden hours.

Finally, after a great day, we caught the end of the sunset at their house, and the following night, had a colorful storm pass through as well.

Great pictures of you all in glow! Also the sunset shot with lightening in the distace. You're a "hot shot" Steve! Mary Sue loves sunsets too! Thanks for sharing your adventures! Irene

Thanks Irene and Mary Sue.

You have good eyes to see that lightning shot. Funny story, the sky was lighting up all over the place, but let this be a lesson to all that speed of light is really fast, and finger reflexes are quite slow by comparison. I thought I had missed all of the shots, but this little bitty one snuck in. I should have broken out my tripod and kept the shutter open, but it was a very quick moving storm.

Thanks for the visit and the comment. We are now west of you guys in Santa Clara. Unfortunately, we need to book it back down to Montclair at O'Dark:30 on Monday to hopefully pick up our rig, so we can get some rear glass replaced, and then (ugh) have the transmission checked.

We'll get back in touch if we end up going north again and find ourselves close to the valley.
