TD2 2019 Adventure - AZ - Grand Canyon, Day 1 - simply amazing weather!

After much hemming and hawing, and checking of weather forecasts (since night-time temps were looking pretty low), we decided to make another assault on the Grand Canyon.

We secured a campsite for two nights, and boondocked not far from the park the night before arrival.  It was a great spot, and our first 2019 campfire was lit, just for the heck of it.

Weather during the day was absolutely perfect at the Grand Canyon, and we mostly just walked along the South Rim Trail this first day.

Pretty amazing views for a really large hole in the ground, or as I heard a park ranger tell someone when asked for the best place to see the grand canyon, "hey, it's the same hole, just different angles." ;-)

Here's a gratuitous Grand Canyon overlook photo (plus a humorous dog):

Carol & Steve cling to the edge and each other!

He's a looker, alright!
It's a Dog's Life!

And the photo album for those so inclined:
