We had a great time at Carol's brother's house in NV, and were very thankful as the weather definitely took a turn for the worst after we landed there. It would not have been much fun sightseeing in the RV. We put Thistle Dew Too to bed for the winter in Nevada, and hope she enjoys the somewhat warmer/dryer climate.
As we left to fly to Oahu, our wonderful hosts also left for the Big Island, for an adventure of their own. Once we landed in Honolulu, we were able to pick up our car at the port (which arrived a week earlier than planned). So the timing of our flight worked out great.
Weather here has been quite nice, warm in the sun, but lovely in the shade. The linked photo album shows a few of our local walking/hiking areas. I even managed to run the 2019 Honolulu Marathon without training (not recommended BTW, but I did survive).
